Thank you so much for your amazing patience while the deck has been in production, I am amazingly excited to announce this is now complete! This will be a longer update about the next steps and also a preview of the decks!

The Luna Edition

The Sunseeker Deck

I am so excited and the decks are looking fantastic so I hope you love this first peek and please let me know your thoughts in the comments. It's so exciting to see the vision for the tarot come completely to life! A first look at the mini guide included with each deck will be in the next update but the next step is for the decks to be sent over to me in Australia.

As a quick note, I got a number of samples as part of the procurement process and was able to find a wonderful manufacturer who was able to produce our deck on FSC certified cardstock with sustainable practices. Due to the very specific nature of the gold work on the deck and to ensure the durability of the cards with the gold finish, this is a different manufacturer than I initially detailed in the campaign. I super look forward to working with Ludocards for future projects and it was just the extremely specific requirements of the Luna deck that made that tricky. What’s next?

We’re in the final stages now which is exciting so I wanted to put up an updated rundown of next steps. The decks are being sent to me shortly, the original quotes were for sea shipping which is approximately 20 days however I know there have been some really big delays with shipping so I’ve asked our manufacturer to put together a quote and look into if there’s any way to get them faster. Fingers crossed this is possible and I will let everyone know ASAP as soon as I hear back on this.

Double-check your shipping address

Please double check your shipping address on Backerkit and please reach out if you need to update any details or information. You can also add additional items to your Backerkit order if there is anything you would like to grab with your deck. If you grabbed anything additional on Backerkit, I will process the payments and look to lock in details on November 30 when preorders close so please let me know if you run into any issues or if there’s anything I can help with. If you need to change any details after this, please message me directly either on Kickstarter, Etsy or at hello@rarecreatures.co.

Preorders close

All the preorder pricing will close on 30 November so please feel free to add anything to your order via Backerkit before then! If you have family or friends who would love to grab a deck at the preorder price, they can grab one on Etsy. Existing backers can grab additional decks and add ons on Backerkit until this date too.

Hardcover compendium, Luminary oracle & digital edition

The hardcover compendium and corresponding digital edition are nearly complete! I am fiddling with some of the final text and artwork for the guide as I really want the decks, oracle and hardcover guide to come together as a series. I am also super excited to send the digital copy of this to everyone once it is complete and finalised. I am looking to make this available as an e-book for download as well as sending a copy so will include more with an update completely devoted to the digital edition, oracle and compendium.

I will post this full update on the next exciting project in the next couple of days as just want to provide a full shipping and production update for everyone on when they can expect the Luna & Sunseeker decks with this update so no info gets lost.

Thank you so so much again for your incredible support and patience. This has been a really difficult time for producing items and shipping around the world with the manufacturing supply chain and shipping delays so I really appreciate everyone's understanding with how this and COVID have delayed production from our initial dispatch date. I’ve been recovering from a not so nice illness the last few months which has slowed down things like the compendium so I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the kind words and understanding especially as we head into the final shipping phase.
